Soooo the little fuzzy red thing - is it a little chick head? I enlarged the photo on the computer screen a little and it looks like it's smiling! I'm not even sure what I'm looking at but it's smiling - Help!

Oh and how long will they leave the nest unattended as we see in the last photo?

Great shot! Can't wait to see them fighting over being fed.

Got home a little while ago, the finch cam doesn't seem to be working, I have the latest JAVA, (checked to make sure) and the picture hasn't moved, says: 17:12:08 for the last 10 mins that it has been on. Loved the still photos.

Turned the cam back on at 7:25Pm and we have a live feed. How cool is that, it's obvious that you are working on it as I'm watching. This is really great, can hear the mourning doves in the background.! Just love it.

Great live feed! Watched dad come in and feed mom who in turn will feed babies. Earlier we watched mom feed one or maybe two babies but she just got up from her position & began to feed - she must keep food stored....????? Obviously I need to read up to sound more intelligent but the sequence of seeing her just get up & feed and wonder how she did it, then to see dad come in & feed her was neat! Wing do you feel like standing behind a tree & watching? Thanks for sharing.

This morning that fuzzy red thing turned into a chick head and it seems very hungry! Such a cool sight. Thanks

I am having some technical trouble with the live stream--I need to set up a static IP address.

I am curious about those of you whose image doesn't refresh--this happens to me at work but is fine at home.

If the finch doesn't refresh, do the others cams refresh?

What a nice orderly nest. All the fluff balls are in the middle and the last egg is standing up to the side just waiting.....
This is so interesting, just so totally different from the larger birds.
Since these birds have nested so early will they raise another brood? (Is that the right word?)
I hate to leave the computer. It was hard before but impossible now.

Re: Refreshing....No. None of my cams refresh, but they used to last year or so; it's been quite awhile for me. I hit refresh and the screen does go thru the motions and I see the Java logo come up again but the photo remains the same. (I know its the same cos it'll be be my first still of the day from 5a.m. say but now it's 10a.m.). Hope that helps...if you need something kicked, I have free time tomorrow ;) (kidding)
